Unfortunately, I now feel obligated to warn current and prospective residents about the extremely rigid and financially burdensome lease termination process at this property. Despite being a responsible, quiet tenant who has consistently paid rent on time, I’ve found the new management completely unwilling to work with me during a difficult financial time.
After months of communication, I’ve pleaded with the leasing office to release me from my lease just one month early due to a major change in my financial situation. I will soon be moving in with family to stay afloat financially. However, new management has shown no flexibility.
Their policy requires:
• 60 days’ written notice
• PLUS payment of an additional two months’ rent, even if you plan to vacate early
• No exceptions, even for financial hardship or long-standing tenants
To try and compromise, I even offered to forfeit my security deposit if they would simply allow me to end my lease in August. Still, they refused.
At this point, I am being forced to pay close to $1,700/month for a 600 sq. ft. unit, which is not only unreasonable for the space but entirely unaffordable for my current situation. Fees have stacked up quickly, and I’m now locked into a lease I cannot sustain.. with no way out except to pay thousands more.
If you’re considering moving here, please think carefully. The apartment may seem appealing at first, but the lack of flexibility, empathy, and tenant support from the new management is deeply disappointing. This complex may not be the right fit for anyone who values fairness or anticipates life changes during their lease .

I initially had nothing but positive things to say about Woods Crossing and the apartment manager, Mary. I toured the apartments a few 2 years ago ago to see what my options were Mary answered all of my questions and was helpful, friendly, and has made me feel like a valuable resident.
When I decided to go with the unit, a few months later, the application was processed within 24 hours and I was approved! Mary is a great communicator and was sure to answer any question I had. Upon moving in, the unit was extremely clean and I am so happy with my new home! The complex is very quiet and feels extremely safe. I don't hear my neighbors through the walls either!
